An opportunity to work within a busy retail Butcher's shop. We are looking for a counter assistant to join our team. You will provide the highest quality of customer service and be a self motivated person, who is able to work independently as well as part of a team. Your role will primarily involve dealing with sandwiches, cooked meats and savouries however you will work closely with our butchers in order to develop your knowledge and confidence in order to serve and produce basic raw meats. You will also be involved in the baking of savoury products.
The candidate must have experience in working in a fast paced and busy environment.
Responsibilities:
Cooked meat and savoury counter preparation - ensuring presentation is to its highest standard
Serving customers with cooked and raw meat and ensuring food hygiene protocols are followed
Serving and making hot and cold sandwiches and savoury products
Cleaning & record keeping
Answering the phone and taking orders
Skills & Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills
Experience in delivering strong customer service preferably within a food enviornment
Basic Computer skills
Basic Numeracy and Literacy
Food Hygiene Qualification preferred but not essential
Hours of Work:
FULL TIME
38 hrs per week (Candidate must be flexible in order increase hours to cover holidays, sickness and busy periods)
Mon: 8am - 5:30pm
Tues & Thurs: 9am - 5:30pm
Fri : 8am - 2pm
Sat: 7:30am - 2:30pm
