Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Quality Assessor for early years settings. In this vital role, you will evaluate and ensure the quality of early childhood education and care, supporting practitioners to deliver high standards of learning, development, and safeguarding. Your expertise will help shape positive outcomes for young children and strengthen the overall quality of early years provision.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of early years settings to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
- Observe practitioner-led activities, interactions, and environments to evaluate quality delivery
- Provide constructive feedback and support to practitioners to enhance their teaching methods and child engagement strategies
- Review documentation such as development records, planning, and safeguarding policies for accuracy and completeness
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend practical actions for continuous quality enhancement
- Collaborate with setting managers to develop tailored improvement plans aligned with regulatory requirements
- Keep detailed records of assessments, observations, and recommendations to track progress over time
Skills
- Strong understanding of early years curriculum frameworks and quality standards
- Proven experience in teaching or working within early childhood education settings
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to evaluate practice objectively
- Effective communication skills to provide clear feedback and support professional development
- Ability to build positive relationships with practitioners, managers, and stakeholders
