About this role
Join our highly professional, committed and student focused Musical Theatre Team. We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring Associate Lecturer to deliver high-quality acting training within Musical Theatre programmes, developing students' technical, creative and performance skills through teaching, assessment and academic support. The post holder will contribute to programme delivery and maintain currency with contemporary practice in acting and Musical Theatre.
You will need to be available to deliver as follows: Semester one - Tuesday 4.00 to 5.30, Wednesday 8.30 to 11.30 and Friday 12.00 to 1.30. In Semester two - Tuesday 4.30 to 7.30 and Wednesday 4.30 to 7.30
About you
The appointed postholder will have an in-depth knowledge of acting techniques, pedagogies and contemporary actor-training practices relevant to Musical Theatre as well as knowledge of Stanislavski-based approaches, realism, naturalism, improvisation, movement, character development, rehearsal processes and directing. Your experience will include developing performance skills and providing constructive feedback whilst working with students or performers in educational and/or professional settings.
Your teaching will be informed by a combination of practical/professional experience and/or experience of teaching in higher education, conservatoire or vocational setting and the use of technologies to enhance the learning, assessment of and feedback to our students.
