Location: Hatters Foodhall, Denton and Ardwick
Job Type: Full-time 30-48 hours a week
Working hours: Thursday to Sunday, between 08:00 and 22:30
Pay: £14ph plus tips and driving expenses
We are fast-paced street food kitchen serving freshly made buttermilk waffles and pickle-brined fried chicken. We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Street Food Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Hatters Foodhall, Denton.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and takes pride in keeping a kitchen running smoothly. Strong attention to detail, a positive attitude and the ability to contribute to a supportive team environment are a must.
Alongside kitchen duties, we are seeking a driver who can collect stock from our prep kitchen in Ardwick and transport to Hatters Foodhall in the mornings. You must have your own car, but also be a confident driver as you may be required to drive our Waffle Van at times.
Responsibilities
- Manage the fryer section during service, ensuring quality and consistency
- Cook, assemble and prepare menu items to specification
- Stay alert to allergens and ensure safe food handling practices
- Keep workstations clean and organised at all times
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Wash dishes and kitchen equipment, assisting with deep cleaning tasks
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well within a team environment
- Good vibes with a focus on personable customer service
- Kitchen experience essential, street food or similar setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices essential
- Full UK Driver's Licence and own car
