Chef Supervisor
Location: Close to Stamford
Salary: £15-£20 per hour

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Chef for a role nearby Stamford who is ready to join a supportive team in a fast paced and rewarding Public Sector environment.
We are working with our client in the search for a chef for an ongoing temporary role, which could lead to a permanent position, pending a successful application process.
Working under the job title of Chef Supervisor, your responsibilities will be:
- Preparing and cooking high quality and mouthwatering meals for large numbers within a secure facility
- Catering for a variety of dietary requirements and adhering to health guidelines
- Managing your own section of a busy kitchen, whilst supervising and supporting junior team members
- Contributing towards efficient teamwork and a smooth running of the daily operations of the kitchen
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen area
- Working alongside your line manager to deliver training and development to junior kitchen staff

What you’ll need:
- Strong people and team supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate your fellow team members
- A good knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Proven experience in catering as a chef, with experience in large scale catering preferable
- Ability to work and thrive under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Show compassion, care and understanding with junior staff members
- Ability to solve problems in a calm and timely manner
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Valid food hygiene level 2 or higher and allergen awareness certificates (we can help provide this)
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- Be willing to undertake a security check (similar to a dbs)
