We are seeking a skilled Hard Landscaper to join our team, specialising in the construction and installation of outdoor landscape features. This role involves physically demanding work and requires experience in paving, groundwork, and the use of construction tools. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision and high-quality finishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing patios, paving, and driveways (e.g. slabs, block paving)
- Building garden walls, steps, and retaining structures
- Constructing decking, fencing, and pergolas
- Ground preparation including excavation, levelling, and foundations
- Laying turf and artificial grass where required
- Installing drainage systems
- Operating machinery such as mini diggers, compactors, and cut-off saws
- Reading and working from plans and site drawings
- Ensuring all work meets health and safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in hard landscaping or groundworks
- Strong knowledge of materials such as stone, concrete, and timber
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Good understanding of levels, measurements, and site preparation
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- CSCS card (preferred but not always required)
