Cawthornes is a long-established, family-run business specialising in Print & Design, Workwear, Promotional Merchandise, Office Supplies and Furniture.
We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic person to join our Customer Service team. This is a varied role covering several areas of the business, so no two days are quite the same.
You’ll be working directly with customers, helping with enquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders and seeing jobs through from initial enquiry to completion.
Experience within the print, promotional merchandise or office supplies industry would be an advantage, but it isn't essential as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Handling customer enquiries, orders and quotation requests by phone and email
- Building strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times and product information
- Preparing quotations for print, workwear, promotional merchandise and office supplies
- Managing orders from initial enquiry and quotation through to artwork/proofing, production and completion
- Providing customers with updates and excellent after-sales support
- Processing orders accurately and efficiently
- Helping customers choose the most suitable products and solutions for their requirements
- Working closely with other departments to ensure orders run smoothly
- Providing occasional cover within our retail store
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, confident and professional when dealing with customers
- A strong verbal and written communicator
- Naturally good at building rapport with customers, suppliers and colleagues
- Organised and able to manage several enquiries and orders at once
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and general IT systems
- Proactive with a positive, can-do attitude
- Keen to learn about our products and services
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experienced within print, promotional merchandise or office supplies would be beneficial, although not essential

We are looking for a Customer Service & Sales Support to join our team to provide cover during a period of employee absence. The position is initially temporary, with the length of the contract dependent on the ongoing requirements of the business.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
