Job Overview
We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Operative & Delivery Driver to support our sales and hire divisions. You'll manage extraction equipment and accessories from goods-in through to customer delivery, keeping our warehouse running smoothly and our customers happy.
About us
For over 20 years, McCarthy Environmental has designed, installed, and maintained Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) solutions for customers across Aerospace, Motorsport, Education, Defence, Nuclear, and Renewables, preventing exposure to dust, fume, and oil mist particulate.
Duties
- Receiving, checking, and booking in stock and returned hire equipment
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for collection/delivery
- Inspecting, servicing, and cleaning hire equipment between hires
- Loading/unloading vehicles and maintaining a safe, organised warehouse
- Delivering and collecting equipment from customer sites
- Assisting with installations, using scissor lifts and cherry pickers
- Supporting stock counts and vehicle/tool maintenance
What we're looking for
- Full, valid UK driving licence (van experience preferred)
- Warehouse, stores, or logistics experience desirable
- Forklift/pallet truck skills a bonus (training provided)
- Comfortable with manual handling and working at height
- Good attention to detail, reliable, and self-motivated
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
- Background in extraction equipment or a trade is a plus but not essential
- Ideally based in Northampton
