Solar Engineer / Technician
£50,000 + Overtime + Bonus + Van + Fuel Card
Monday - Friday - 8am - 4pm
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and rapidly growing solar operations and maintenance company that manages a large portfolio of utility-scale solar farms across the UK. Due to continued expansion, they are looking for a skilled Solar Engineer to join their field engineering team.
The Role
As a Solar PV Electrician, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and fault diagnosis of utility-scale, ground-mounted solar PV installations. Working across multiple sites, you'll help maximise plant performance, minimise downtime and ensure assets operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on utility-scale solar PV systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults on inverters, transformers and AC/DC electrical systems.
- Perform electrical testing and inspection of both AC and DC circuits.
- Conduct thermographic inspections, string testing and performance analysis.
- Monitor plant performance and respond promptly to system alarms and faults.
- Complete maintenance reports and maintain accurate service documentation.
- Support HV switching activities where authorised.
