Project 6 is looking for a compassionate, motivated and person-centred Recovery and Housing Support Worker to join our Homelessness Project in Keighley.
This is an exciting opportunity to support people experiencing homelessness alongside alcohol and/or drug use, helping them overcome barriers, build resilience and achieve lasting positive change.
Working as part of a dedicated team, you will provide practical housing support, recovery-focused interventions and personalised guidance to help people secure and sustain accommodation, improve their wellbeing and move towards independent living.
Salary: £26,603.64 (equivalent to £14.62 per hour) | Working full-time, 35 hours per week
About the Role
You will work closely with individuals experiencing homelessness, offering intensive support over approximately 12 to 18 months. Through one-to-one work, drop-ins and group activities, you will empower people to identify and achieve their goals while building the skills and confidence needed for a more stable future
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting people facing multiple disadvantages and who can build trusting relationships through a compassionate and non-judgemental approach.
You may have:
- A Level 3 qualification, degree or equivalent experience in Health and Social Care, housing, substance use treatment or a related field.
- Experience supporting people experiencing homelessness, substance use issues, complex needs or multiple disadvantage.
- Knowledge of housing pathways, homelessness services or relevant legislation.
- An understanding of trauma-informed practice, recovery approaches and harm reduction principles.
- Experience developing person-centred support plans and supporting tenancy sustainment.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and record-keeping skills.
- The ability to motivate, empower and support people to achieve positive outcomes.
