Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to animals while supporting veterinarians in various clinical tasks. Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Monitor anaesthesia and vital signs of patients during surgery and recovery.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Prepare laboratory samples for analysis and assist in laboratory procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date.
- Provide nursing care for hospitalised animals, including feeding, grooming, and administering fluids.
- Educate pet owners on post-operative care, nutrition, and general animal health.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the veterinary practice, including equipment sterilisation.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in veterinary nursing or an equivalent field.
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary procedures and laboratory techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- A compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
