Job Introduction

As a Ward Assistant at Royal Stoke Hospital, you’ll play an important role in delivering delicious meals and a positive experience to patients, staff, and visitors. Your cheerful attitude and friendly interactions can brighten someone’s day and bring comfort during challenging times.

What You’ll Do:

Provide an efficient and professional catering service on wards, communicating effectively with colleagues and ward staff.

Complete daily documentation accurately and in line with required schedules, procedures and standards.

Safely transport and deliver food and beverage trolleys to wards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across ward kitchens, pantries and catering work areas.

Ensure catering equipment is safe, clean and in good working order, completing routine cleaning and maintenance checks and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
