Yard Manager/Transport Planner
As a leader in the commercial vehicle industry, we are looking for someone to join our team, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Yard Manager/Transport Planner Based in Stoke on Trent working between our 3 yards, you will be liaising with the operations team to conduct the following:
· Key Responsibilities to include:
· Supervise all daily yard operations.
· Coordinate the movement, parking, loading, and unloading of vehicles.
· Ensure efficient scheduling and dispatch of trucks and trailers.
· Monitor vehicle availability and yard capacity.
· Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment.
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
· Risk Assessments
· Manage yard staff, including drivers, loaders, and yard personnel.
· Investigate and report incidents, accidents, or damage.
· Coordinate with workshop, logistics, and transport teams to meet delivery schedules.
· Ensure security of vehicles, cargo, and yard facilities.

What we are looking for:
Essential
- Class 1 essential
- A valid Transport Manager CPC (National or International).
- Proven experience managing a Yard and HGV transport operation.
- Strong knowledge of Operator Licence compliance, DVSA regulations, drivers' hours, and tachograph legislation.
- People management skills.
- Organisational and planning abilities.
- Experience using transport management software.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, compliance, and operational processes.
- A positive attitude and willingness to undertake all reasonable duties associated with the role.

Class 1 and CPC required for the thorough understanding of every role that will be undertaken in the operational side of the business. As a team leader this enables the correct approach for problem solving and teaching where required.
Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm
£48k - £55k depending on experience
Pay: £48,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
