Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead and manage the kitchen operation at our café in Wimbledon Park. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and efficiency, while fostering a positive, supportive, and professional kitchen culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food preparation and service to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation.
- Manage food production processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, standards, and portion control.
- Develop and introduce seasonal menu items, incorporating fresh seasonal ingredients and current food trends.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Train, mentor, and lead kitchen staff, supporting development and teamwork.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships.
- Work closely with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Support budget management, cost control, and waste reduction initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen leadership role.
- Strong cooking skills with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Effective leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Creativity in menu development, with respect for classic dishes.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering high-quality dining experiences.

Pay: £34,000.00 per year
