JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Steel Welder
Location: Holmewood Industrial Estate, S42 5SA
Operating hours between: 08:00 – 16:30 Mon - Fri
40 hours per week (Overtime available)

Based in Holmewood, Chesterfield, our East Midlands based site makes lighting columns, traffic posts, traffic signal posts and passively safe structures for various customers and industries.
About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and professional Steel Welders to work within our Production Team, welding lighting columns as per production drawings and works orders with strict adherence to quality standards.
Principle Accountabilities
- Welding coded steel materials to a minimum standard set out within BS EN 287
- Follow and understand production drawings and works orders
- Operation of touchscreen computers
- Responsible for pre-shift checks and reporting any issues
- Previous use of manipulator would be beneficial
- Responsible for achieving daily targets as required
- Be aware of and always adhere to Health & Safety policies and requirements for a Production environment; See it, Stop it, Report it
- Be aware of and always adhere to health and safety rules and regulations in respect of PPR and RPE
- Undertake Training and Continuous Improvement opportunities
- Any other reasonable duties within your skills remit to support the operational duties of the department or company
Qualifications
- Educated to GSCE level/ or equivalent in experience
- MAG or TIG Welding Qualifications preferred (or equivalent)
- FLT Licence would be beneficial, not essential
- Good physical fitness for manual handling tasks
