We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Stretch Tent Marquee Rigger to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation, dismantling, and maintenance of stretch tent marquees at various event locations. Most jobs are located around the South East of England.
This role requires a strong focus on safety, management skills, and excellent guest services to ensure client satisfaction. Previous experience in hospitality or guest services is advantageous, as the role involves liaising with clients and overseeing the setup process to meet their expectations. You will have full onsite training. For the right candidate I will be looking to train up as a company Operations Manager with a salary.

Duties
- Erect, secure, and dismantle stretch tent marquees in accordance with safety standards and client specifications.
- Ensure all vehicles are loaded correctly at the yard before travelling to site.
- Lead and supervise teams of riggers and seasonal staff on-site.
- Manage the organisation of equipment, tools, and materials required for each event.
- Coordinate with event organisers, clients, and team members to ensure timely setup and breakdown of structures.
- Conduct safety checks on all rigging equipment before use and during installation.
- Oversee the management of on-site logistics to facilitate smooth operations throughout the event.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing client needs promptly and professionally during setup and dismantling phases.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in rigging or a related field.
- Strong background in hospitality or guest services, with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy equipment safely.
- Good organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety procedures and protocols.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours based on event schedules, including weekends or evenings if required.
- Relevant certifications in rigging or health & safety are desirable but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates.
