Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled, enthusiastic, and student-focused Electrical Instructor to join our growing team. In this role you will deliver high-quality practical and theory-based electrical training across a range of courses, including C&G 2365 levels 2 and 3, C&G 2391 as well as C&G 2382 Wiring Regulations. You will inspire learners of all backgrounds to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed in the electrical industry.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Training
- Deliver engaging practical and classroom-based electrical lessons to groups of varying sizes and experience levels.
- Plan and prepare lessons, schemes of work, and learning materials in line with awarding body requirements.
- Assess learner progress through practical observations, written assignments, and online assessments.
- Provide timely, constructive written and verbal feedback to support learner development.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with additional learning requirements.
Assessment & Quality
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records and registers in line with awarding body standards.
- Conduct and record formative and summative assessments, ensuring they are fair, valid, and reliable.
- Participate in internal quality assurance (IQA) activities, standardisation meetings, and external verification visits.
- Ensure all health and safety requirements are met in the workshop, including safe use of tools, equipment, and materials.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an instructor or teacher, preferably in a vocational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A passion for teaching and helping others succeed.
- Relevant electrical certifications or qualifications are essential.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in teaching/assessing are preferred
