Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and flexible Catering / Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. This varied role involves supporting both the catering and housekeeping departments to help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and visitors.
The successful candidate will assist with kitchen duties, including food preparation, washing up, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the kitchen. They may also be responsible for setting and clearing dining tables, ensuring dining areas are clean, tidy, and welcoming.
In addition, the role includes housekeeping duties such as cleaning bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and other facilities while maintaining excellent hygiene standards throughout the premises.
This position is ideal for someone who is adaptable, enjoys working as part of a team, and is happy to work across different departments as required. Flexibility, a positive attitude, and a willingness to support colleagues in a variety of tasks are essential.
Full training will be provided, and a uniform will be supplied.
Requirements:
- The legal right to work in the UK. All applicants must provide proof of their right to work (e.g. a valid passport or other acceptable documentation).
- Ideally be based in or around Manchester.
- Good physical stamina, as the role is hands-on and involves being on your feet for extended periods.
- Excellent punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, housekeeping, or customer service is desirable but not essential. A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn are equally important.
- Availability to work weekday morning shifts from 9:00am to 12:30pm, typically 3–5 days per week (depending on business needs). The role also includes working one weekend day (either Saturday or Sunday, as required) from 10:00am to 2:30pm, with lunch provided.
- A good standard of English to communicate effectively with colleagues and follow instructions.
- A proactive approach to teamwork, with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute positively to a busy working environment.
- The ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and customer service.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
