Here at the Yorkshire Soap Company, we have an established and growing online business.
Due to our continued investement and online growth, we're now looking for a new team member to join us. We're seeking an organised and enthusiastic individual to join our online team, based at our distribution centre in Harrier Court, Airfield Industrial Estate, Elvington, York.
Our well established store and online business sells amazing bath and beauty products, as well as gifts for all members of the family. Established over 20 years ago, we are a leading independant York based retailer.
Within this role you will be responsible for processing, packing and stock control, whilst making sure our customer orders are expertly presented for delivery.
Our ethos is around creating a magical experience for our staff and customers, so this makes the online assistant role more than just a picker and packer, as we add those extra touches to make each order an extra special gifting experience.
Due to the distribution centres location there's only a very limited bus service. It would be worth reviewing this before applying. If you have your own transport there is adequate parking on site.
Key skills required for this role:
- Able to work in a fast paced environment, whilst paying every attention to detail.
- Have strong communication skills and be able to provide excellent customer service over the telephone and via the web site comms.
- Good numeracy and analitical skills
- Computer literacy, and adaptable to technological advances
- Being able to work as part of a team, and to be self motivated when working alone
Gaining experience of our products will support in your ability to provide our customers further product information and a superior service.
The role will be for 20 hours per week, with an opporunity for overtime, especially throughout our very busy Christmas trading period where we would expect you to work up to 40 hours per week. The role is Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work during December.
