Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning
· Deliver engaging and challenging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and school policies.
· Inspire enthusiasm for learning across all subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, and Art.
· Adapt lessons to accommodate the diverse needs of pupils, fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
· Assess, record, and report on the academic, social, and personal development of pupils, encouraging each child to achieve their potential.
· Use varied teaching methods and behaviour management strategies that align with school policy.
· Supervise and guide teaching assistants and support staff within the classroom.
Classroom Environment
· Organise and maintain a stimulating and well-resourced classroom that promotes effective learning.
· Celebrate pupils’ work through classroom displays and contribute to public displays
within shared areas.
· Model professionalism and positive behaviour, including punctuality and commitment to school values.
Communication and Collaboration
· Build strong, supportive relationships with parents, providing regular updates on
pupils’ progress and well-being.
· Plan and participate in educational trips, events, and activities that enhance the learning experience.
· Attend and actively engage in weekly staff meetings, sharing good practices and contributing to school-wide objectives.
· Uphold and promote the school’s ethos and aims through consistent collaboration with colleagues and adherence to school policies.
Professional Development
· Participate in the Performance Management cycle, setting and pursuing personal targets.
· Engage in professional development sessions, INSET days, and training to refine teaching skills and stay current with curriculum changes.
· Contribute to initiatives supporting Suffah Primary’s mission to foster academic and spiritual growth.
Working Conditions:
This role is based in a primary school setting, with term-time-only hours. Access to resources and technology is provided to support effective teaching and learning. Some additional out-of-hours commitments may be required, including parent-teacher meetings, school events, and professional development sessions.
Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
