Paediatric Complex Care Support Worker
Location: North Walsham, Norfolk (NR28)
Pay: £16.50 per hour
Zero-hours contract
Are you an experienced Support Worker who enjoys working with children and making a lasting difference to their lives?
Ambition Community Healthcare is looking for compassionate and reliable Paediatric Complex Care Support Workers to support a young person with complex needs within their own home in North Walsham.
This is a rewarding opportunity to become part of a dedicated team, providing consistent one-to-one support that enables the young person to live safely, comfortably and enjoy everyday life.
We are currently looking for Support Workers who can commit to regular weekly shifts, with additional opportunities available across other Ambition Community Healthcare packages where suitable.
About the role
You will provide one-to-one support within the family home, delivering safe, person-centred care while encouraging independence, communication and participation in everyday activities.
Experience in the following areas would be beneficial:
- PEG-J feeding
- Moving and handling using hoists
- Supporting children with cerebral palsy
- Non-verbal communication
- Building positive relationships through consistent support
Package-specific training will be provided where required.
Current shifts include:
- Monday – 15:30 to 19:30
- Wednesday – 15:30 to 19:30
- Thursday – 10:00 to 16:00
What we're looking for
- Previous care experience
- Experience supporting children or young people is desirable
- Complex care experience is advantageous
- Compassionate, patient and reliable approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Right to work in the UK
