This is a great opportunity for those wishing to gain more experience in heart failure and cardiac imaging particularly stress echocardiography and TOE. In addition there is an opportunity to join the team at the National Amyloidosis centre to gain further experience in the rapidly growing area of cardiac amyloidosis.
To provide overall care for patients referred to and cared for by the cardiology service,
including general cardiology inpatient care, outpatient care and cardiac imaging
(echocardiography and CT), and to support the nursing and administration teams in
delivering safe care.
It is specifically anticipated that with their colleagues the post holder will provide the
following services:
- General cardiology outpatient clinics.
- A specialist interest in Heart Failure
- Support for the amyloidosis service
- Contribute to the general cardiology on-call service, delivered as a Consultant
Cardiologist On-call in the Week (CCOW)
- Contribute to relevant departmental MDTs and governance meetings.
- Support the department's audit programme.
