Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our clients, maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics, looking to contribute to a dynamic organisation. 5 years of employment history without any gaps of more than 28 days , DBS not older that 10 week required.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Deliver goods to various locations within designated areas, ensuring accurate and complete deliveries
- Assist with loading and unloading items, which may involve heavy lifting and manual handling
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays
- Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times during deliveries
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations
- Valid driver’s licence,
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, maintaining proper manual handling techniques
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise deliveries
- Flexibility to work varied hours as needed, including early mornings or late shifts if required
