Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable External Renderer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying external finishes to buildings, ensuring durability, aesthetic appeal, and compliance with safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects within a dynamic environment, contributing to the realisation of high-quality construction works. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a background in various aspects of construction and finishing trades.
Responsibilities
- Applying external renderings to building exteriors using a variety of techniques and materials
- Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to rendering
- Mixing and colour-matching render compounds to achieve desired finishes
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during application processes
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards
- Collaborating with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes
- Maintaining a clean and organised work site throughout the project duration
- Assisting with related tasks such as plastering, masonry, or carpentry as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in external rendering or related construction trades such as plastering, masonry, or carpentry
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, and construction painting is advantageous
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with construction sites' safety protocols and procedures
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working at heights if necessary
- Previous experience with scaffolding or working at height is desirable
- Valid certification in health & safety or relevant construction qualifications preferred
