Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Room Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our establishment, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff alike. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for hospitality and attention to detail. Prior experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is highly desirable. A background in cooking or customer service will be considered advantageous but is not essential. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment where professionalism and efficiency are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, public areas, and service spaces to the highest standards
- Change bed linen, towels, and replenish amenities as required
- Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and stored appropriately
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Assist with organising linen supplies and stock levels
- Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to guest requests and inquiries
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in janitorial work, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred
- Basic cooking skills are advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Organised with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
