Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist in supervising and engaging children during daily activities, playtime, and mealtimes
- Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate educational programmes
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Help maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment for children
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Support children's emotional development by providing comfort and reassurance when needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping and updating children's progress records
- Drive children to and from activities or outings when required, ensuring safe transportation
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery, childcare setting or early childhood education environment is highly desirable
- Demonstrated management or leadership skills within a childcare context are advantageous
- Knowledge of childcare best practices, child development stages, and early years curriculum frameworks
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Experience in childcare management or leadership roles is beneficial but not essential for entry-level applicants
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation duties

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
