Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and organized Clinical and Administrative Support Assistant to join our team at the Skegness Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC). This vital role involves providing essential administrative support and clinical assistance to ensure smooth operations within the diagnostic center. You will play a key part in facilitating patient appointments, managing documentation, and supporting clinical staff to deliver high-quality healthcare services. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to help us maintain an efficient and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike.
Duties
- Assist with patient check-in procedures, ensuring accurate registration and appointment scheduling
- Support clinical staff with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management
- Manage incoming calls, direct inquiries, and provide clear information to patients and visitors
- Maintain accurate records of patient appointments, test results, and other relevant documentation
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of clinical areas and administrative workspaces
- Support the coordination of diagnostic procedures by preparing necessary materials and equipment
- Use office software efficiently to update databases, generate reports, and handle correspondence
- To help cover the weekend on call Duties
Requirements
- Previous office experience demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and external partners
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Good understanding of confidentiality and data protection protocols in healthcare settings
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or duties as required
- Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude who is eager to learn
- Basic computer literacy with experience using office applications such as Word, Excel, or similar tools
