Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same?
Are you highly organised, great at juggling multiple priorities and enjoy being at the centre of a busy operation?
We're looking for a Production Assistant to join our Broadcast Operations team at Crafter's Companion. This is a varied role that combines administration, planning, logistics and hands on studio support, helping us deliver live broadcasts and digital content across Crafter's TV and our wider broadcast channels.
You'll play a key role behind the scenes, coordinating schedules, supporting presenters and producers, organising products and ensuring everything is in place for our live productions.
What you'll be doing
- Managing production schedules, calendars and team rotas.
- Coordinating presenter and craft expert diaries.
- Scheduling livestreams across our digital platforms.
- Organising studio bookings and production activity with teams across the business.
- Processing invoices and supporting production administration.
- Arranging travel and accommodation for presenters and production teams.
- Coordinating products and inventory for live broadcasts and filming.
- Supporting live studio productions, including set up and pack down, often in anti-social hours across timezones.
- Assisting with external events and location broadcasts when required.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is naturally organised, enjoys solving problems and remains calm when priorities change. You'll ideally have:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to coordinate with a wide range of people.
- The ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly.
- Great attention to detail.
- Good Microsoft Office skills.
- A flexible approach to supporting live broadcasts and production activity.
Experience in television, live events, digital production or a similar environment would be an advantage, but it's not essential. We're more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, organisation and willingness to learn.
Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, typically 10am to 3pm, although we're happy to discuss the exact working pattern. Flexibility is required to support live broadcasts and occasional events in evenings, weekends and overnights occasionally.
Why join Crafter's Companion?
At Crafter's Companion, we're passionate about inspiring creativity through innovative products and engaging content. Our Broadcast Operations team sits at the heart of that mission, delivering live shows and digital experiences to crafting communities around the world.
If you're looking for a varied role where you can make a real impact, develop new skills and be part of a supportive and collaborative team, we'd love to hear from you.
