Duties
- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate orders and serve food and beverages efficiently
- Assist with food preparation when necessary, ensuring quality standards are maintained
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs and questions
- Promote menu items through upselling to enhance guest experience and maximise sales
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and service stations
- Follow food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and best practices in food handling
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and billing accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Good time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or culinary roles is advantageous but not mandatory
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and contribute positively to the team
