The Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Team covering Sunderland and South Tyneside are looking to recruit a permanent full time band 8a Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist / Senior Psychological Therapist to work into the service.
The successful applicant will offer direct clinical work (assessment, formulation, intervention) to clients with first episode psychosis. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team across a range of indirect tasks, such as supervision, training and research.
The post holder will be clinically supervised by a principal or consultant clinical psychologist and professionally supervised by the consultant clinical psychologist. You will also join a wider psychological service of about 15 therapists that serves the adult teams in community across the south CBU. As such you will join a supportive network with considerable clinical and professional expertise.
You will be encouraged to help us develop our training programme and research / service evaluation output that we are really proud to have built over these past five years.
We aim to attract and retain a diverse, talented and committed workforce, who are caring and compassionate, and therefore able to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and in the future. In return we can offer a dynamic working environment in which to build a career.
Working in mental health can be very demanding, so we look to prioritise our staff wellbeing day to day. One way in which we do this is to design and continually review job roles collaboratively with you, so that your day-to-day work feels manageable and sustainable in the long term. We also have a strong commitment to CPD and professional development, and we want to nurture and develop the post holder for their careers in the long term. Many post holders have progressed internally from within our team.
