We are recruiting for someone who is part-qualified/qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant to manage financial transactions, with a particular focus on the Treasury function, and assist with the reporting for client portfolios within Carter Jonas.

The role will include management of the cash and banking function, accounting for a portfolio of clients, as well as taking on one-off projects and assisting others as appropriate. The role will be hands-on, will involve transactional work and day to day management of accounts of some of the smaller client contracts.
What you’ll be doing:
Key elements of the role include but are not limited to:
- Managing day-to-day operations of clients’ financial transactions
- Performing regular and robust reconciliations of client funds
- Creating payment runs in accordance with strict contract rules and deadlines
- Allocating cash received from tenants
- Responding in a timely and professional manner to both internal and external queries; managing shared inboxes
- Preparation of monthly contract accounts and reports
- Preparation of funding requests and reconciliation
Desirable experience and qualifications:
- Experience in bank reconciliations and cash transaction processing.
- Experience in a busy finance environment, in either an accountancy practice or within industry, to multiple stakeholders
- Property experience is preferred but not essential
- A professional manner with the ability to provide excellent customer service
- Good commercial awareness and willingness to work closely with other departments
- Good skills using the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel
- Preferably recently qualified ACCA/CIMA, or Part-Qualified and progressing well
What will it take to be successful?
Ideally you will have gained experience in a busy finance environment, within industry or a reputable accountancy practice. You will need strong communication skills, a professional approach and fantastic time management skills. It is crucial to have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, be enthusiastic and pro-active with strong numeral and written analytical skills, and love working with Excel. Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work closely with other departments, whilst playing a key role within the contract management team is extremely important.
