Restaurant Isca is looking for an experienced Head Waiter / Head Waitress to join our leadership team.
Set within the stunning surroundings of Borde Hill Garden, Isca is an ambitious destination restaurant focused on outstanding hospitality, seasonal British produce, and warm, professional service. We are building a team that believes genuine hospitality comes from passion, attention to detail, and leading by example.
About the Role
As Head Waiter, you will be a key part of the restaurant's daily operation, supporting the Restaurant Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences while motivating and developing the front-of-house team.
You will:
Lead a section to the highest standard.
Support and coach waiters and food runners throughout service.
Ensure service flows smoothly and consistently.
Deliver warm, knowledgeable, and personalised hospitality.
Maintain exceptional food and wine knowledge.
Help train new team members and uphold service standards.
Lead from the floor, remaining calm and professional during busy services.
Work closely with the kitchen and management team to create memorable guest experiences.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
Has previous experience as a Head Waiter, Senior Waiter or Supervisor in a quality restaurant.
Is passionate about hospitality and guest experience.
Leads by example with a positive attitude.
Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
Enjoys coaching and developing others.
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
Has strong food and wine knowledge (or a genuine desire to learn).
