Restaurant Supervisor
Location: The Horn Milk Bar
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Working Pattern: Full-time, 5 days out of 7, including weekend work.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Restaurant Supervisor to help oversee the day-to-day running of our busy restaurant.
The successful candidate will supervise the team, ensure excellent customer service, maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and support the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with people, leading by example and creating a welcoming environment for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and support the restaurant team on a daily basis.
· Lead by example and ensure excellent customer service at all times.
· Allocate daily tasks and ensure smooth and efficient service.
· Assist with staff rotas and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
· Support the training and development of team members.
· Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and deliveries.
· Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety.
· Ensure compliance with health & safety and food hygiene requirements.
· Oversee till operations and cash handling where required.
· Deal professionally with customer queries and feedback.
· Assist with opening and closing procedures.
· Work closely with management to maintain and improve restaurant standards.
Person SpecificationEssential
· Previous experience in a restaurant, café, hospitality or food service environment.
· Previous supervisory or team-leading experience.
· Excellent communication and organisational skills.
· A positive, friendly and customer-focused attitude.
· Ability to lead and motivate a team.
· Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety.
· Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
· Flexible to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends.
· Own transport is essential due to the restaurant’s location.
Desirable
· Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or higher.
· Experience with stock control and ordering.
· Experience using EPOS/till systems.
· Previous experience supervising a busy restaurant or hospitality team.
