Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer / Field Service Representative to support NHS pathology laboratories across Hampshire and the surrounding area.
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing complex automated laboratory diagnostic systems, ensuring maximum equipment uptime while providing outstanding technical support to healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs on automated laboratory diagnostic equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and electronic faults.
- Perform performance monitoring and system optimisation.
- Provide technical support and assist with applications where required.
- Build strong working relationships with laboratory teams and healthcare professionals.
- Complete accurate service documentation and maintain compliance records.
- Manage your own territory across Hampshire and the surrounding area.
Person Specification
- Level 3 engineering qualification or above.
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Field Service Representative or similar engineering role.
- Experience within IVD, laboratory diagnostics, scientific instrumentation, medical devices or other complex electro-mechanical equipment is advantageous.
- Military engineering backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- Strong electro-mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and manage a regional territory.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
