Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Team Leader to oversee supported living services. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and supporting individuals with their daily needs within a care home environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of support workers, ensuring the delivery of person-centred care in line with organisational policies and care plans
- Oversee daily operations within the supported living setting, ensuring smooth service delivery and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Support residents with their individual needs, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing
- Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct staff supervision, appraisals, and training to maintain high standards of care and professional development
- Ensure effective communication within the team and with external agencies to coordinate support services effectively
- Manage administrative tasks such as rostering, record keeping, and reporting incidents or concerns promptly
- Promote a positive environment that encourages respect, inclusion, and active participation from residents
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a care home or senior care setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, colleagues, and external agencies
- Knowledge of care plans development and risk assessment.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents or attending meetings outside the premises
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Experience in caring for individuals with complex needs or disabilities is advantageous
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to delivering high standards of person-centred support
Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
