Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Forklift Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and maintaining smooth warehouse operations. Duties
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
- Manage materials handling tasks with precision, ensuring accurate placement and storage of goods
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or coordinate repairs to maintain optimal forklift performance
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments, preparing items for dispatch, and documenting transactions
- Support warehouse organization by maintaining clean work areas and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow efficiency and meet daily operational goals
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse environment with a strong understanding of warehouse procedures
- Valid forklift certification and mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting and minor repairs
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and documentation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as required by the role
- Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying shipments or inventory data
- Experience in shipping & receiving processes, including documentation accuracy and load management
- Strong organizational skills combined with attention to detail to ensure safety standards are maintained
