Cogent Staffing are recruiting for a CNC Press Brake Operator for our client based in Todmorden. The ideal candidate must have previous experience operating or setting a CNC press brake and have a background in manufacturing.
Duties
- Operate Amada press brake machines to perform bending operations on thin gauge sheet metal.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine the correct settings and tooling required.
- Use hand tools and other equipment for assembly, fabrication, and grinding of components as needed.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience setting and operating a press brake, ideally Amada.
- Ideally local to Todmorden.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for various tasks related to assembly and fabrication.
- Knowledge of tooling requirements for different bending operations.
- Experience in grinding processes for finishing components is beneficial.
