Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Event Security Steward to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and venue during various events. Responsibilities
- Monitor entry and exit points to verify tickets and credentials, ensuring only authorised individuals gain access
- Conduct thorough bag checks and utilise metal detectors as required to uphold security protocols
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the event to deter unauthorised access or disruptive behaviour
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to any security incidents or emergencies, coordinating with emergency services if necessary
- Provide friendly assistance and information to guests, enhancing their overall experience
- Enforce venue policies and regulations in a professional manner, managing conflicts or disturbances effectively
- Collaborate with event staff and management to ensure smooth operations and safety compliance
Experience
- Previous experience in security management, hospitality, or guest services is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong management skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and confidently
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations
- Ability to remain alert, vigilant, and proactive during long shifts, often standing for extended periods
- Experience working in diverse environments such as concerts, festivals, or sporting events is desirable but not mandatory
