Overview
Due to continued expansion we are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 tipper driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. Some nights out may be available depending on location of work.
Responsibilities
- Operate tipper lorries to transport goods to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with sales team and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure the secure loading and unloading of good, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally.
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with a category C.
- Valid tachograph & Driver CPC cards
- MPQC Card preferred, but not essential as training will be provided
- Experience as a commercial driver
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism on the road
