About Dirty Martini
Since 2018 we've built an agency where talented people come to create the best work of their careers. We’re on a mission to build a forward-thinking, creative agency that puts people at the heart of everything it does. The kind of company you really want to work for, but you rarely find.
No egos.
No politics.
No unnecessary hierarchy.
Just brilliant people working together to produce marketing we're genuinely proud of.
And where they have incredible fun doing so.
Today we work with businesses across the UK, Europe and the USA, delivering branding, websites, SEO, paid advertising, content creation, email marketing, social media and creative campaigns that generate real commercial results.
Everything we do happens in-house.
Every relationship is built on trust.
Every project is delivered with care.
Because that's what premium clients expect.
And it's exactly what we enjoy delivering.

Your Mission
As Marketing Director, your mission is simple.
Help our clients grow.
Not through vanity metrics.
Not through marketing jargon.
Through intelligent strategy, outstanding leadership and exceptional execution.
You'll become a trusted adviser to some incredible businesses, helping them make better marketing decisions while leading the team responsible for bringing those ideas to life.
/
What You’ll Own
This role is about ownership, not administration.
You'll own:
- Client strategy and long-term growth
- Senior client relationships
- Marketing performance across your portfolio
- Leadership and development of the marketing team
- Agency standards and quality
- Commercial growth opportunities
- Internal marketing and thought leadership
- Continuous improvement across our systems and processes

Your Craft
Strategy
You'll develop integrated marketing strategies that align with commercial objectives, not just marketing activity.
You'll look beyond individual campaigns and identify opportunities that genuinely move businesses forward.
You'll challenge assumptions, ask difficult questions and ensure every recommendation has purpose.
You'll turn ambitious goals into practical marketing roadmaps.
Client Leadership
You'll become the trusted marketing partner our clients rely on.
You'll lead strategy sessions, planning meetings and campaign reviews.
You'll present insights, recommendations and opportunities with confidence, helping clients understand not only what we're doing, but why we're doing it.
You'll build relationships based on honesty, trust and results.
We don't want clients who stay because of contracts.
We want clients who stay because they couldn't imagine working with anyone else.
Team Leadership
You'll lead an exceptional team of marketers, creatives and specialists.
Your role isn't to micromanage.
It's to create an environment where talented people can produce their best work.
You'll coach, mentor and develop the team, helping everyone continue progressing in their careers.
You'll review work, provide constructive feedback and celebrate great ideas.
When the team succeeds, you'll be the first to recognise it.
Campaign Oversight
While you won't be responsible for building every campaign, you'll understand every campaign.
You'll oversee our retained marketing function - Strategy, Search, Social, Email and Content.
You'll ensure strategies are commercially sound, campaigns are delivering results and opportunities aren't being missed.
You'll constantly ask: "How could this perform even better?"
Commercial Growth
You'll identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through new ideas, new services and better marketing.
You'll support pitches and proposals for prospective clients.
You'll ensure retainers remain commercially healthy while always putting client success first.
Because when our clients grow, we grow.
Agency Development
Dirty Martini is still growing. Which means you'll have genuine influence over how we evolve.
You'll help improve processes, develop new services, embrace emerging technology and shape the future direction of the agency.
You'll also contribute towards our own marketing, including:
- Award submissions
- Case studies
- Thought leadership
- Speaking opportunities
- Agency content
- PR campaigns

What Success Looks Like
After 3 Months
You'll understand our clients, our culture and our standards.
You'll be leading strategy meetings with confidence.
You'll have built strong relationships with both clients and the wider team.
You'll already be identifying opportunities to improve campaigns and agency processes.
After 6 Months
You'll be recognised by clients as a trusted adviser rather than simply their agency.
You'll be mentoring the wider marketing team and helping them produce their best work.
You'll have introduced improvements to systems, reporting or delivery that make a measurable difference.
After 12 Months
You'll have helped grow both our clients and Dirty Martini.
You'll have developed long-term marketing strategies that deliver measurable commercial results.
You'll have strengthened the department, improved client retention and helped shape the future of the agency.
You'll be someone the rest of the team naturally looks to for guidance.

- You're commercially minded and understand that marketing exists to grow businesses.
- You're comfortable presenting ideas to directors, business owners and senior stakeholders.

- You're naturally curious and always looking for a better way of doing things.
- You embrace technology, automation and AI where they improve quality and efficiency.
- You're calm under pressure and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
- You're the sort of person who notices details other people miss.

What This Role Isn't
This isn't a role where you'll spend your week scheduling Instagram posts.
It isn't about sitting in Ads Manager tweaking bids all day.
It isn't about forwarding emails or chasing approvals.
This role is about leadership.
Helping businesses make better decisions.
Building strategies that create measurable growth.
Leading exceptional people.
Creating an agency clients genuinely love working with.

Why People Stay
People don't stay at Dirty Martini because of free coffee.
Or because of Friday drinks.
They stay because they get to do meaningful work with people they genuinely enjoy spending time with.
Because their ideas are listened to.
Because they have autonomy.
Because they're trusted.
Because they're encouraged to experiment.
Because they have room to grow.
And because everyone here genuinely wants everyone else to succeed.
We're ambitious.
But we're ambitious together.
