Experienced Container Transport Operator – Felixstowe

We are looking for an experienced Container Transport Operator to join a busy and established container transport operation in Felixstowe.
This role requires someone with solid container transport experience who can come in and hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily planning and allocation of container movements.
- Managing drivers, vehicles and workloads.
- Managing port collections, deliveries and VBS bookings.
- Monitoring container availability and port systems.
- Liaising with drivers, customers, shipping lines and depots.
- Proactively managing delays and operational issues.
- Ensuring driver hours and transport plans remain compliant.
- Using subcontractor and agency resource when required.
- Maintaining accurate transport system updates and handovers.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ container transport operations experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Port of Felixstowe and container transport.
- Good understanding of drivers’ hours and transport compliance.
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicator with drivers, customers and suppliers.
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good IT and transport system knowledge.
- Commercially aware with a strong customer-service focus.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
