This role offers a starting salary within Nacro’s pay structure of £26,807 Pro rota Entry with expected progression to £27,477 Pro rota Established within the first year, subject to meeting clear criteria and performance standards, with further pay progression available in the future. We are looking for a Property Compliance Administrator to be part of the Property team, contribute to ensuring that Nacro’s properties remain fully compliant with all relevant legislation and organisational policies relating to gas, electrical safety, fire safety, legionella, and asbestos management.
The main focus of this role is fire safety compliance. This includes arranging Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), fire alarm and equipment servicing and inspections, monitoring completion of recommendations and remedial works, maintaining accurate records, and following up outstanding actions. The postholder will also provide support across other areas of property compliance as required
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange Fire Risk Assessments, fire alarm servicing, inspections and testing in line with compliance schedules and required timescales.
- Review Fire Risk Assessment recommendations and service reports, ensuring follow-on actions are raised, prioritised and tracked through to completion.
- Monitor remedial works and outstanding compliance actions, proactively following up overdue inspections, servicing and works.
- Maintain accurate compliance records, certificates, reports and property information on Nacro systems.
- Liaise with contractors, landlords, operational teams and other stakeholders to obtain information and ensure compliance requirements are met.
- Escalate complex fire safety matters and seek specialist advice where appropriate, ensuring recommendations are fully understood and appropriately implemented.
- Produce compliance reports and management information as required.
Essential Skills & Qualities
- Demonstrable experience as an administrator. It would be desirable but not essential for this to be in property related services.
- Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with contractors and external agencies.
- Good attention to detail
- The ability to work on your own initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
- Good IT skills and competency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good organisational and administration skills.
- Good telephone manner.
