RAM Peripherals is a leading UK technology supplier specialising in 3D printing, label printing, consumables and technical support.
We work with a range of manufacturers and technology brands to supply products to businesses, resellers, retailers and end users across the UK. Alongside product sales, we provide technical support, repairs and servicing.
We are now looking for a Sales & Marketing Associate to join our growing team and play an important role in developing our sales and marketing activity.
This is a hands-on commercial role for someone who wants to take ownership, develop their skills and make a measurable contribution to the growth of the business.
The Role
This position has a strong focus on generating new business and developing existing customers.
You will work across both sales and marketing, identifying new opportunities, contacting prospective customers, managing leads and supporting campaigns that generate measurable commercial results.
The successful candidate will be expected to become increasingly independent in managing their own pipeline and campaigns, with clear targets and regular reviews.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and research prospective B2B customers across relevant industries
- Generate new sales opportunities through outbound calling, email, LinkedIn and other channels
- Follow up inbound enquiries and marketing-generated leads
- Maintain and develop an active sales pipeline within our CRM
- Make outbound sales calls and confidently communicate with prospective customers
- Understand customer requirements and identify appropriate products and solutions
- Prepare quotations and follow opportunities through to completion
- Develop existing customer relationships and identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities and sales activity
- Work closely with the technical and operations teams to ensure customers receive the right solution
- Meet agreed sales, pipeline and activity targets
Marketing
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns across email, social media (including Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook)
- Manage and improve product content across our website and e-commerce channels; ensuring product descriptions, specifications, imagery and pricing are kept up to date
- Support SEO activity and identify opportunities to improve website visibility and conversion
- Assist with Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Merchant Centre and other digital marketing tools
- Create and manage targeted email campaigns
- Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve ROI
- Research competitors, markets and potential new customer sectors
- Identify relevant trade shows, exhibitions, networking events and other opportunities to generate leads
- Support the launch and marketing of new products and brands
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, proactive and comfortable taking ownership.
We provide product training as part of the role. What is most important is your ability to learn quickly, communicate effectively and turn opportunities into sales.
You should have:
- Previous experience in sales, marketing, business development or a similar commercial role
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confidence speaking to customers and making outbound calls
- A proactive approach to generating new business
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience using CRM or sales management systems
- A strong understanding of digital marketing and social media
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a small team
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Technology or hardware sales
- HubSpot or similar CRM systems
- Trade shows and exhibitions
- Selling through resellers or distribution channels
