Help us build safer homes and stronger communities.
At Abri, we're passionate about creating high-quality homes where people can feel safe, secure and proud to live. As we continue to deliver new homes across our communities, we're looking for a Development Fire Safety Manager to join our Development team and play a key role in ensuring fire and building safety standards are met to the highest standard.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference. You'll work alongside colleagues, contractors and consultants to help shape the design, construction and handover of new homes, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, compliance and quality.
As our fire safety expert within the Development team, you'll provide advice, guidance and support throughout the development process. You'll help ensure that the homes we build are compliant, safe and ready for residents from day one.
What you'll be doing
-
Supporting development teams with fire safety advice during design and construction stages.
-
Reviewing fire safety and Regulation 38 information provided by contractors and developers, ensuring it meets legislative requirements and best practice.
-
Working closely with our Fire Safety team to resolve queries and identify solutions.
-
Leading on fire safety requirements within our specifications and Employer's Requirements documents.
-
Keeping colleagues informed of changes in legislation, regulations and industry best practice, including the Building Safety Act 2022.
-
Building positive relationships across the business and with external partners to promote a strong culture of fire safety and continuous improvement.
What you’ll need:
-
A recognised fire safety qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
-
Strong knowledge of fire safety, building safety and construction legislation.
-
Experience working with contractors, consultants and technical stakeholders.
-
The ability to analyse technical information and explain it clearly to different audiences.
-
Confidence to challenge when needed, whilst maintaining positive working relationships.
-
Great organisation skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
A qualification in construction or the built environment would be beneficial, but isn't essential.
