Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Fire Safety Consultant to join our team in Bedford. The successful candidate will be based at our Bedford office but will be required to travel regularly to London to carry out fire safety audits and inspections, as well as to other regions in the UK when necessary. This role offers a comprehensive training program, providing support to achieve a Level 4 Certificate in Fire Risk assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting fire safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections of various premises, including fire door assessment, passive fire surveys, building compliance inspections, fire risk assessment, and health and safety risk assessments, primarily in London but also in other England regions.
- Formulate and write fire safety reports, ensuring compliance with current fire safety legislation and best practices.
- Collaborate with senior consultants to develop fire safety strategies and provide technical advice to clients.
- Attend client meetings and assist with on-site inspections, gathering relevant data and writing audit documentation.
Training and Development:
- Full training will be provided to support the candidate in achieving at least a Level 4 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessments and further training to Level 5 and Level 6 Qualification is possible.

Essential Requirements:
- Willingness to travel regularly to London and occasionally to other regions in England.
- Flexibility in working hours is essential, as site visits and client needs may vary.
- Strong interest in fire safety and building compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to write professional documents and reports.
- Organised, ability to maintain accurate records and documentation related to health, safety, and fire safety activities, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accessible.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet required deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards learning.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Prior experience or educational background in residential fire safety, construction, building management, or a related field is a plus but not essential.
- Full UK driving license is desirable.

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
