Our Housekeeping team are vital to the success of our operations. They maintain our standards of operation in bedrooms and public areas and work with a high degree of coordination with our Front Hall, Reservations and Maintenance departments.
Your main activities and responsibilities are:
- To stock linen and services cupboards in the hotel and collection of dirty linen inclusive of mini bars
- To deliver when required to the guest bedrooms: toiletries, amenities for extra guest
- To check all housekeeping areas are clean
- To maintain linen stock levels and linen storage area
- To keep all store cupboards clear and tidy daily and replenish stock
- To bring housekeeping deliveries to assigned stores and stock tidily
- To clean vacuum clean corridors and staircases, dust pictures and lamps
- To assist the Room Attendants making beds and cleaning guest bedrooms when required
- To act in a cooperative way with colleagues from all departments to coordinate and enhance our customers’ experience.
- To clean bedrooms and public areas of the building to the brand standard
- Any task reasonably expected by the General Manager or person to whom they have delegated appropriate authority.

Lines of communication
This position reports to the Head Housekeeper.
Working conditions and shifts
This position works principally from the Bike & Boot in Scarborough, but also has requirement to travel to other company operations and events.
Form of contract
There are two form of contract for these positions:
- Annualised Minimum Hours – where we guarantee a minimum number of hours over a twelve month period.For example 1,560 annually (including holidays) is equivalent to 30 hours per week. In each pay period you are paid for the number of hours worked, but we guarantee the minimum over twelve months.
- Casual Hourly Paid – where there is no minimum hours guarantee and staff are simply paid for the number of hours worked in each department according to the agreed hourly rate.
- All hours are further supplemented by our Service Charge. Bi-monthly you will receive 'tips' up to £ 1200.00 per annum
