THE ROLE
Previous experience in an IT support, infrastructure, field engineering, or technical services role is a key requirement.
The Junior IT Project Manager role sits between a Project Coordinator and an IT Project Manager, offering the opportunity to take on greater ownership while still remaining closely involved in the practical day-to-day detail that keeps projects moving. This person will support the planning, coordination, administration and delivery of client projects, ensuring tasks are tracked, stakeholders are updated, engineers are organised and deadlines are kept on course. They should be comfortable handling routine but important project activity, while also developing the confidence to oversee larger pieces of work with increasing independence.
This is an ideal step-up role for someone with hands-on IT engineering experience who is ready to move into a more project-focused position. The role would suit someone who understands technical delivery, can communicate confidently with engineers and clients, and wants to develop their project management skills while remaining close to the technical detail.
