Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supported Living Manager to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our care facilities specialising in assisted living and senior care. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. This role offers an opportunity to lead a compassionate team committed to enhancing the independence and well-being of residents, including those requiring specialised dementia and Alzheimer's care. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring the delivery of personalised care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and legal requirements related to adult social care.
- Manage medication administration processes accurately and safely in accordance with prescribed protocols.
- Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans for residents.
- Foster a supportive environment that promotes dignity, independence, and respect for residents.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services.
- Monitor staff performance through regular supervision and appraisals; organise ongoing training programmes to maintain high standards of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, staff rotas, incident reports, and regulatory compliance records.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in assisted living with a strong background in Learning Disabilities and Autism.
- Demonstrable leadership and managerial skills within a healthcare or social care setting.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Care Act 2014 and associated regulations governing adult social care.
- Experience in developing and implementing personalised care plans.
- Competence in medication administration and understanding of medication management protocols.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Compassionate approach combined with strong communication skills to engage residents, families, and team members professionally.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent are highly desirable.
