Duties
- Provide comprehensive guidance to students on choosing suitable courses, programs, and educational institutions based on their interests and aspirations
- Assist learners in developing clear academic plans and setting achievable goals for their educational success
- Conduct one-on-one advising sessions to address individual challenges, questions, and progress updates
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and external partners to coordinate resources and support services for students
- Organize workshops and informational sessions on admissions processes, scholarship opportunities, and career pathways
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress reports, and advising outcomes
- Stay informed about current trends in education policies, programs, and industry requirements to deliver up-to-date advice
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching or educational advising with a strong understanding of academic counseling techniques
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage diverse learner populations
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple student cases effectively
- Ability to assess individual needs and provide tailored guidance aligned with each learner’s goals
- Knowledge of various educational pathways, including higher education options, vocational training, and online learning platforms
- A proactive attitude with the enthusiasm to support learners through their educational journeys
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Counseling, or a related field (preferred)
