We are seeking a confident, hands-on Deputy Manager who can lead from the front, support staff development, and help drive high standards across the home.
An experienced Senior Deputy Manager looking for a fresh challenge or promote as Registered Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in the overall leadership and management of the home
- Lead shifts, set clear expectations, and model best practice
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are consistently upheld
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and placement planning
- Promote positive behaviour support strategies
- Maintain high-quality, accurate records in line with regulatory standards
- Contribute to Ofsted readiness and ongoing quality assurance
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Residential Care (essential)
- Working towards or willing to complete Level 5 in Leadership & Management (desirable)
- Proven experience within a children’s residential setting
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and Ofsted requirements
- Experience leading shifts and supervising staff
- Full UK driving license (preferred)
